Plain and Simple: The closing process in Los Cabos is much like the United States...but with a lot more hoops to jump through. Please remember that you are a foreigner purchasing in Mexico. There will be additional permits to obtain and this takes more time...there is no such thing as a 15 day close in Cabo. To be safe I always quote a 3 month close.If we happen to be ready earlier, then everyone is happy. Also please keep in mind that if your closing process starts in October you really want to try to push your closing company to try to close before mid December. All government offices close from mid December through the first week in January and absolutely nothing gets done.
Note; I have seen a 15 day close but the buyer was a Mexican National and he did not require the extra permits.
